Cat is an emerging lighting designer, a member of ALPD and was awarded life membership of the Edinburgh University Theatre Company. She is excited to be building a career in theatre, film and live events.
Biography
Age 7, she was caught by the magic of pantomime at the King’s Theatre in Edinburgh. Above everything else she wanted to be on that stage and begged to go to drama classes. As a teenager Cat still felt the draw towards theatre but realised she had become a lot more interested in how atmosphere could be created using light, set and sound.
Her background in civil and structural engineering gives her a practical, reasoned and collaborative approach to design. Her training inspired a love and exploration of the interaction of structures and light, and led to her excitement for production design work.
She loves to read, bake and occasionally makes clothes!
